It shimmers with countless colors, stimulates the imagination, attracts the eye with unique and atmospheric illuminations, and on top of that is an excellent spot for souvenir photos. Mood-setting music, thousands of hues and premiere sculptures inspired by the traditions of Podhale – such attractions await the residents of Zakopane and tourists visiting Gubałówka only until 1 March 2026.
You will be transported to the Land of Light already at the lower station of the PKL Gubałówka railway, while even more unforgettable experiences will certainly await at the mountain summit in the PKL tourist center. Thousands of lights, colorful figures, sparkling sculptures that will not only delight but also refer to the traditions of Podhale and the Tatra nature – beloved Gubałówka will once again become the highest-located park of light.
When you get off the cable car you will pass through a fairytale, shimmering tunnel, and beyond it the Land of Light and plenty of beloved installations will await you. A dazzling, sparkling field of crocuses that will burst into light on the top of Gubałówka will lead visitors into the enchanted and unique space of the light park. Shining sculptures of sheep accompanied by a dog will immerse us in the Podhale atmosphere and shepherding traditions. Glittering violins and a saxophone will certainly impress everyone; at Cafe Gubałówka you will also see a sparkling kettle with a cup. And you will also be able to admire the Tatra peaks on a multimedia illuminated panorama.
This winter season, in addition to light sculptures of highlander hosts and hostesses, the field of crocuses, the cable car cabin, the chamois and sparkling snowflakes, as well as many other folkloric decorations, you will see entirely new and surprising installations. In the Land of Light you will meet a large, sparkling Goral Teddy Bear, a fairytale snow globe, and for adventure lovers there will be a Bear with a snowtubing tube.
You will be able to set off for the Land of Light daily by cable car; the magical place is open from 16:00 throughout the entire winter season until 1 March 2026.
